cheeseburger pizza

What do you do When your bbq gets rained out? Cheeseburger pizza! 1 favourite pizza crust Pizza sauce Lots shredded cheese 1lb cooked ground beef Italian seasoning Garlic powder On a pizza stone Lay out your pizza base And top with sauce and cheese Sprinkle with spices. Sprinkle with ground beef Add: Favourite burger toppings like: Diced tomatoes Diced onions Diced peppers Jalapenos Bacon crumbles Chili peppers Cover with lots parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. While it is baking mix together: 1 cup mayo 2 tbsp ketchup 1.5 tsp big burger mix (epicure) Drizzle over pizza while it is hot. "Bon appetit!"

Got leftovers? Shred or dice up some  cooked boneless chicken. Add 1\3 cup to a bottle of your  Favourite bbq sauce. The mixture should be thick Not watery. I used a Pillsbury pizza dough But use your favourite base. Top with shredded cheese And parmesan, I like lots. Now what are your favourite toppings? I added thinly sliced onions, Diced green pepper, Sliced mushrooms And crumbled bacon. "Bon appetit!"

saucy beef and brocolli

Mix together: 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1/2 cup reduced-sodium beef broth 1/4 cup wine or additional beef broth 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 garlic clove, minced 1 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot Set aside. Stir fry cook for 1 to 3 minutes: 1 teaspoon oil 1/2 pound beef cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips *** I used a leftover steak from a bbq! Remove and set aside. Stir fry mix: 1 tsp oil 2 cups fresh small broccoli florets 8 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces Cook until crisp-tender, 3-5 minutes.  Add green onions and cook just until tender About 1-2 minutes.  Stir cornstarch mixture and add to pan.  Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Then cook and stir until sauce is thickened About 2-3 minutes.  Add beef and heat through. Serve on egg noodles or rice And with large salad. "Bon appetit!"

cashew chicken

Mix well and set aside: 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1-1/4 cups chicken broth 2 tablespoons soy sauce Cook in frying pan and set aside: 3 tablespoons canola oil, divided 1-1/2 pounds cubed chicken In frying pan on medium-high add: 1 small pepper, cut into strips 1 can diced water chestnuts, drained 1-1/2 teaspoons gingerroot 4 green onions, sliced 1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms (optional) Cook until peppers are cooked to al dente Approx 3-5 minutes. Stir broth mixture and add to pan. Bring to a boil.  Cook and stir until sauce is thickened 1-2 minutes. Stir in chicken and cashews Then heat through.  Serve with rice. "Bon appetit!"

Orange Noodles

Whisk together until smooth: 1/3 cup orange juice 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tsp brown sugar 2 tsp sesame oil 1 tsp orange zest 1/2 tsp garlic powder Salt and pepper Set aside. In 8 cups of boiling salted water: 4 cups broad egg noodles Stir occasionally Until al dente. Drain and return to same pot. Pour sauce over and toss. "Bon appetit!"

Turkey in mojo sauce

In a bowl mix: 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped 1 medium onion, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 teaspoons ground coriander 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper Add: 1 pound uncooked chicken sausage links, casings removed With skin side down: 1 fresh boneless turkey breast (4 pounds) 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper Pound with a meat mallet  to 1/2-in. thickness.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Spread sausage mixture over turkey  to within 1 in. of edges.  Roll up jelly-roll style,  starting with a short side. Tie at 1-1/2-in. to 2-in. intervals  with kitchen string.  Place in a 5-qt. oval slow cooker. MOJO SAUCE In a blender combine: 2 cup orange juice 1 tsp fresh cilantro leaves 3 teaspoons dried oregano 1/4 cup lime juice 2 tsp minced garlic 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) Cover and process in a blender While processing gradually a...

crunchy crouton quiche

Easy light meal. Prep ahead: Cook 2 cups chopped broccoli  To al dente Pat dry and cool. Sautee 2 tsp butter 1 chopped onion 2 tsp garlic 1\2 tsp thyme S and p Add: 6 cups cubed bread 1\2 cup chicken stock Mix together Then pat into a greased casserole dish. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes Mix together: 4 eggs 2 cups milk 3\4 cup shredded cheese 1\2 diced red pepper Add cooled broccoli. Pour into shell Top with more cheese (optional) Bake at 375 for 40 minutes. Serve with a hearty salad!!!! "Bon appetit!"

In large bowl combine: 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs 2 green onions, finely chopped 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet red pepper 1 large egg, lightly beaten 2 tsp mayonnaise 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) Then fold in: 2 cans drained crab  ***drained, flaked and cartilage removed Divide mixture into eight portions shape into 2-in. balls ***personally I think they would work Better if refrigerated for a few hours At this point. In a shallow bowl: 1 1/2 cup of bread crumbs Gently coat each ball in bread crumbs  In a large nonstick skillet, heat:  1 tbsp butter  Place each ball in frying pan And press down. Cook until golden brown 3-4 minutes on each side. "Bon appetit!"

tzatziki chicken

Blend: 1-1/2 cups finely chopped peeled English cucumber 1 cup plain Greek yogurt 2 garlic cloves, minced 1-1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill 1-1/2 teaspoons olive oil 1/8 teaspoon salt OR 1 tub tzatziki  Refrigerate until serving. In a large bowl mix: 2/3 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon baking powder In a bowl whisk: 1 large egg 1/3 cup 2% milk 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (6 ounces each) Cut chicken in half, Pound chicken breasts with a meat mallet or rolling pin. To approx 1/2-in. thickness.  Dip in flour mixture to coat both sides Shake off excess  Dip in egg mixture  Then again in flour mixture. In a large skillet, on medium: 1/4 cup canola oil Cook chicken until golden brown  and juices run clear Approx 5-7 minutes per side. Top with: 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese And prepare tzatziki sauce. Lemon wedges, optional "Bon appetit!"

potato ball casserole

I wanted potato balls as a side dish (Is up leftovers) But super lazy today So I made this! Preheat oven to 350. Mix together: 3 c. leftover mashed potatoes 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled 2/3 c. shredded cheddar cheese 2 tbsp. thinly sliced chives 1/2 tsp. garlic powder Salt and pepper to taste As my mashed potatoes had been baked I added 1 cup of milk To create a smooth consistency. Place in an appropriate size Greased bakeware dish. Mix: 1 beaten egg 1 cup panko bread crumbs Place on top of potatoes. ***By doing a baked method I am also eliminating the vegetable oil Usually used to fry them! Bake for 45 minutes. "Bon appetit!"

pork in nectarine sauce

Mix these items in a Ziploc bag: 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 teaspoon pepper 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour Add 1 pork chop for each person And shake. Heat: 1 tablespoon canola oil In a large skillet until a thermometer reads 145° 4-5 minutes per side.  Remove from pan, keep warm. Add to frying pan: 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 tsp minced garlic 1 can peaches, drained, cut into thin slices 1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth 1 tablespoon honey Cook and stir over medium  heat and bring to a boil.  Reduce heatn simmer, uncovered,  until nectarines are softened  and sauce is slightly thickened. **about 5 minutes.  Serve on chops. "Bon Appetit!"
