saucy beef and brocolli


Mix together:

1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup reduced-sodium beef broth
1/4 cup wine or additional beef broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot

Set aside.

Stir fry cook for 1 to 3 minutes:

1 teaspoon oil
1/2 pound beef cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips
*** I used a leftover steak from a bbq!

Remove and set aside.

Stir fry mix:

1 tsp oil
2 cups fresh small broccoli florets
8 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces

Cook until crisp-tender, 3-5 minutes. 
Add green onions and cook just until tender
About 1-2 minutes. 

Stir cornstarch mixture and add to pan. 
Bring to a boil and reduce heat.
Then cook and stir until sauce is thickened
About 2-3 minutes. 

Add beef and heat through.

Serve on egg noodles or rice
And with large salad.
